Donald S. Rozelle, of Fleetville, died Thursday evening, Dec. 10, at the VNA Hospice Unit in Scranton. His wife was the former Cedora Collins Rozelle, who died in 1982.
Born in Scranton, son of the Benjamin Franklin and Leona Sayre Rozelle. Prior to retirement he was a self- employed dairy farmer, a school bus driver for Lackawanna Trail School District for over 30 years, also working with Whipples Lumber in Clarks Summit and Community Medical Center. He was a member the Scott and Fleetville Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as a past chief for Fleetville.
Surviving are a son, Laverne S. Rozelle and his wife, Beth, Fleetville; daughters, Loraine Deacon and her husband, David, Nicholson, Dora Rozelle, Montrose, and Edwina Rozelle, Jefferson Twp; two sisters, Lenora Burrell, Ca. and Melba Kapwell, Downingtown; several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Karen M. Rozelle and a son Donald B. Rozelle.
The family would like to thank Traditional Home Health Care and the staff at the VNA Hospice at the Community Medical Center for their warmth and compassion toward Donald.
A funeral service was held Tuesday from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be in Chase Cemetery.
