The Abington Youth Soccer League (AYSL) is taking late registration for fall youth soccer online or by mail.
Those interested should register soon, as teams are forming and registration will close shortly.
Boys and girls born between Aug. 1, 1990 and July 31, 2005 are eligible to play this fall.
The league is open to all and there is no residency requirement.
AYSL is a recreation soccer league with the focus being on the fun of playing the game.
All players are guaranteed to play at least half of each game with games on Saturdays, plus some weekday games at the end of the season.
Last year, 1,000 players participated. Lots of parental involvement is needed to get the teams organized and keep things fun.
New online registration is open now. This is the preferred way to register for all players new and returning. If coming to the registration dates, one can register online first and bring the registration certificate and payment to registration to purchase equipment.
To register online, go to eteamz.com/aysl. Information is on the welcome page. Paper registration is available to print from the Web site or at Soccer Plus in Clarks Summit. AYSL jerseys and equipment are on sale at the shed at the Stroney Field, Abington Area Recreation Park at the State Hospital on Fridays in August from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
