The Abington Community Library, 1200 West Grove Street, Clarks Summit, is again offering an education and discussion series for individuals 18 years of age and younger and their families who may be in need of support during recovery or seeking resources to deal with substance abuse. As sponsoring entity for Families Helping Families the Clear Brook Foundation will again be providing program facilitators on Wednesday nights, beginning September 23, to address family issues in a formal lecture from 6:30 to 7:20 p.m. From 7:30 to 8:15 p.m., participants are invited to break into smaller groups for more discussion. This on-going and open-ended program will run from September 2009 through June 2010 with no charge to the library or to the participants attending this series. Appropriate School District personnel will assist by providing information on this educational opportunity to families who most need the service. Please share this opportunity with a family you know who could benefit from it. No registration.
