Kick Butts Day 2010 was held Wednesday, March 24, and youth across the country spoke out against tobacco use, including Power of 10, a youth advocacy group in the 10 counties of the Northeast Health District. Their mission is to unite for a tobacco- free environment. Power of 10 members from Abington Heights High School created a memorial display consisting of one pair of shoes for each tobacco related death that occurs in Pennsylvania every day. The display was left up for the remainder of the week to serve as a reminder to students who walked past it of the dangerous consequences of tobacco use.
