A total of $210 has been collected by the Pre-Primary I students at Howard Gardner School. The project is part of a school wide effort to contribute to the United Nations Millennium Project.
The Howard Gardner School in Scranton has adopted the goal of collecting money to be used to purchase mosquito nets for villages in sub Saharan, Africa, to reduce the risk of malaria.
The school total was $1,500 with the Pre-Primary I students winning a class ice cream party for their outstanding fund-raising efforts. The money the school has collected will be part of the national lab school contributions of over $13,000 made by NALS directly to the United Nations.
