The University of Scranton Performance Music will present a concert by The University of Scranton Symphonic Band on Friday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m., and a concert by the String Orchestra on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 3 p.m. Both performances, free and open to the public, will take place in the Houlihan-McLean Center on Jefferson Avenue and Mulberry Street.
The Symphonic Band will perform a varied program that includes works by composers Vaclav Nelhybel, Philip Sparke, and John Williams.
The String Orchestra program includes works by Bach, Copland, and others.
