Jeanne Miles of Clarks Summit died Tuesday, Sept. 14, in the Hospice Unit at Mercy Hospital. Her husband of 45 years was Byron Miles. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late George and Mary Cavanaugh Corrigan, she was a graduate of Holy Rosary High School and a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church. Jeanne was especially grateful to her sons-in-law, Dr. Michael Gordon and Jim Bonczek, for their continuous help. She was also grateful to her devoted friends who were so supportive during her illness. Also surviving are a son, Chet, Clarks Summit; two daughters, Stacy Gordon and husband, Dr. Michael, Clarks Green; and Kimberly Bonczek and husband, Jim, Clarks Summit; six grandchildren, Sean and Liam Gordon, Jack Miles and Elizabeth, Abigail and Sadie Bonczek; a sister, Evelyn Gibbons, West Orange, N.J.; three brothers-in-law, Tom, Bob and Richard Miles; two sisters-in-law, Judy DeMont and Harriet Miles; nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear friends. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Gardner. The funeral was to be Sept. 17 with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Snows Church, to be celebrated by Monsignor James J. McGarry. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
