The Everhart Museum will be celebrating International Migratory Bird Day on Saturday, May 10, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and will explore the birds that make lengthy journeys, the habitats on which they depend and the people who help conserve these birds.
Attendees can go on a guided bird walk through Nay Aug Park with local biologist Vincent Marshall; see bird-banding demonstrations led by local biologists Dr. Robert Smith and Dr. Margaret Hatch; watch fly-tying demonstrations led by Ted Patlen, winner of seven international fly-tying championships; and more. All activities are free with paid admission to the museum. No reservation is required.
