Surplus food will be distributed from the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Hwy, Clarks Summit, July 8, starting at 9 a.m. and continuing until all available food has been distributed, usually by noon. Those persons who qualify (residency and income) will be given this food, in amounts based on item availability, and number of persons in the family residence. Qualification is based only on Lackawanna County residency and income levels established by TEFAP. Shown above are TEFAP income guidelines effective July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. The food recipient understands the income limitations and hereby certifies that the household size and income make them eligible for participation in the program. Twelve items are expected to be available: Northern beans, applesauce, cherry/apple juice, canned pork, spaghetti sauce, peaches, rice, dried cherries, canned corn, pears, spaghetti pasta and cheddar soup.
