The development of athletic skills and spiritual character is the combined focus of several upcoming sports camps at Baptist Bible College and Seminary. Six camps are held each summer in basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Defender camps help budding athletes improve their skills while they live on campus for a week. Big Blue day-camps teach local children up to Grade 8 sport fundamentals. Defender Soccer, Grades 9-12, August 3 to 8 includes training sessions for both field players and goalkeepers for both male and female soccer players. Coaches Chris Davis (BBC Lady Defenders coach) and John Jackson (BBC Defenders coach) head up the intense, daily training sessions. Soccer camp also features both 8 vs. 8 and 11 vs. 11 competitions, a coaching school, and daily chapel led by the camp staff and counselors. Big Blue Soccer, Grades K5 to 8, August 11 to 15 includes the development of teamwork, sportsmanship and self-control. Open to children living in the Clarks Summit community.. Two daily sessions (grades K to3 in the morning and grades 4 to 8 in the afternoon) are run. Lunch and swimming are also available.
