Lakeland Jr./Sr. High School Chiefs senior quarterback Ryan Kiehart has announced his intentions to continue his academic and athletic careers at Ursinus College.
A Mayfield resident, Kiehart was a three-year starter at quarterback for the Chiefs football, where he led the team to consecutive District 2 playoff semifinal victories during his junior and senior seasons. He will be joining an Ursinus Bears team that posted a 6-5 overall record in 2009, including a 6-2 mark in Centennial Conference play.
Kiehart intends to pursue studies in pre-medicine at the Collegeville, school. He has also been selected to play in the 2010 Scranton Lions Club Dream Game.
