Making Christmas a little brighter for needy children in the Wyoming Valley is the goal of the annual Angel Tree Project, sponsored by the Salvation Army. In October, members of the Wyoming Seminary Upper School Community Service Group began collecting new toys and clothes for 17 boys and 23 girls, completing the drive on December 7. This is the fourth year the Seminary Community Service Group has participated in the Angel Tree Program. Community Service Group members shown with some of the collected Angel Tree toys and clothing items are, from left, senior Nikisha Gomes, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; junior Natalie Flake, Angel Tree project co-coordinator, Kingston; senior Lauren Onofrey, Waverly; senior Laney Jones, Blakeslee; Mary Therese Pitcavage, Seminary faculty and advisor, Community Service Group and Michael Contaldi, Salvation Army representative. Absent from photo was senior Diya Das, Wilkes-Barre, Angel Tree project co-coordinator.
