Walter D. Longcor Sr., 90, Clarks Summit, died Tuesday, March 18, at Abington Manor Nursing Facility. His widow is the former Velma P. Tradesco. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Maus Longcor. He has been a resident of Clarks Summit for the past 50 years. Prior to retirement he was a Tax Accountant for International Salt Co. For 44 years he was a Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit where he served as Deacon and an Elder. He was a graduate University of Scranton and enjoyed golfing, tennis, and bowling. Also surviving are a daughter, Velma E. Burkhardt, Clarks Summit; a son, Walter Longcor Jr., Clarks Summit; one granddaughter, four great grandchildren, and a nephew. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Longcor and a brother, William Longcor. A funeral service was to be held Saturday, March 22 from the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit, 300 School St., Clarks Summit PA 18411, with services by Rev. William G. Carter, pastor.
