Rep. John Payne, Dauphin County, invited The Color of Safety Task Force to appear at a press conference in Harrisburg. In conjunction with the Patient Safety Authority of PA and the Hospital Association of PA, the committee presented their work on patient safety related to colored ID bands. Pennsylvania hospitals were asked to voluntarily comply with the process developed by hospitals in Northeast PA. Attending the event were: Ann Marie Holly and Sheila Ford, MTH; Connie Fanning, CMC; Lisa Greco, Marian Community; Laura Mayeski, Pocono General; Christine Wilczewski, Mercy; Marilyn Swendsen, Wayne Memorial; Fran Charney, Holy Spirit; Rosemary Takacs, Donna Kearney, MV; and Jeana Sluck, Kathy Tirpak, Jackie Rosen and Bonnie Haluska, Allied Services Rehabilitation Hospital.
