Beth Dine, a resident of Clarks Green, has been selected to represent the 2008 U13 Girls U.S. Soccer Regional Olympic Development Team. She competed against other girls in NEPA through ongoing tryouts in Lancaster, which lasted for a couple of months to have a spot on the Northeast Pennsylvania ODP Team.
Dine was chosen to represent NEPA at the Regional Camp in Rhode Island last summer. At the weeklong camp, more than 500 girls from 16 states tried out for the Regional ODP team. Dine was one of 70 girls chosen by the Olympic coaches to train with the regional ODP team this year. Her first regional team training will be held in Buffalo, NY in December 2008.
