Bruce Purdy Reynolds of Aberdeen died March 4 in Sykesville. He was 85. Born in Dalton, he was the son of the late Herman B. and Esther (Purdy) Reynolds and husband of the late Mary E. (Meldrom) Reynolds, who passed away in 2001. Reynolds retired as a civil servant from the United States government and was an Army veteran of WWII. After the war, he served in the National Guard. He was a member of the Aberdeen Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 128, NRA, Baltimore Amateur Radio Club and the ARRL. He loved woodworking and model trains. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Larry B. and Joyce Reynolds of Sykesville, and two grandsons, Brian and Sean Reynolds, also of Sykesville. A funeral services conducted by Rev. W. John Stieler and Pastor Claude D. Waldon, Sr., were held on Monday, March 8, at 11 a.m. Interment was in Harford Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
