Halloween was this past Sunday, Oct. 31, but there was a full week of festivities for area residents to enjoy.
The inaugural Howl-O-Ween Bash was held Oct. 23 at the Waverly Community House. The costume party and dance in the gym was open to anyone over the age of 21.
Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit hosted its annual Halloween parade Oct. 24. Prizes were awarded for the best costumes.
On Oct. 30 the Chinchilla Hose Company featured an open house and Halloween Party during which firefighters showed demonstrations of rescue. Children dressed in costumes, painted pumpkins and entered a coloring contest inside the firehouse.
