Lions look to extend streak

The Lackawanna Trail High School basketball team was looking to keep their winning streak alive when they hosted Western Wayne on Tuesday, Feb. 9. The team had won their last three games, starting with a 68-55 victory at Susquehanna on Monday, February 1. Steve Miller finished the game with 30 points, Bobby Pacholec added 12 and Jake Bedford finished with 11. The team followed that up the next day, Tuesday, Feb. 2, with a home 57-43 win over Forest City, Miller finished 15 points Sean Fricke added 12. And, Bedford led the team with 23 points in the Lions 56-46 win at Blue Ridge on Friday, Feb. 5. Miller finished the game with 13 points. The Lions will travel to Elk Lake High School on Friday, Feb. 12, before closing out the regular season at home against Mountain View High School on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
