Coach Roger Jacobs, director of player development at Riverfront Sports, will be hosting for the third year, the Abington Youth Soccer Camp.
The camp will be held at the Abington Joint Rec Park (International Field) Monday through Friday, July 12 to 16, 9 a.m. to noon.
This soccer camp is open to boys and girls in the AYSL who will be competing in U6 to U12 this fall.
Cost is $75. Each camper will receive a t-shirt.
All of the instructors played AYSL, attended Coach Jacobs soccer camp during their younger years and later while playing on the Abington Heights varsity soccer team were named to the all-star team. Those players include Megan Callahan, Jessie Fox, Melody Lyon, and Pat Callahan.
All the lead instructors are full time youth soccer trainers.
The camp will take place every day, rain or shine. In the event of bad weather the camp will be held indoors at Riverfront Sports.
The basic fundamentals of soccer will be taught: dribbling, passing, shooting, 1v1 using games like Alien Attack, Hero, Soccer Baseball, Shooter-Keeper, and many more.
The camp is designed for players of all experience level from beginner to advance.
