Helen Tartagiolne Brown, 83, Clarks Summit, died Friday evening, March 26, at Community Medical Center in Scranton. She was the widow of Charles Tartaglione, who died in 1956, and Harry Brown, who died in 1985.
Born in Perth Amboy, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Kaczmerski Lapunshinsky. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Woodbridge, N.J. She also attended the Church of Sr. Benedict in Newton.
Surviving are a son Charles, and his wife, Connie, Newton Twp., two stepdaughters, Barbara Overall, Ca., and Harriet Mattox, Colo.; a brother Stanley Lapunshinsky, N.J.; and four grandchildren, Kristi, Derek, Casey and Tammy.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Rose Luckach, Ann Panko and Julie Lapunshinsky, and two brothers, Nicholas and John Lapunshinsky.
The mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 31, at 9 a.m., from the Church of St. Benedict, Newton Ransom Blvd. Interment will be at St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge, N.J.
