Beverly Thompson, 74, of Clarks Summit died Wednesday, March 31, at home surrounded by her family following a battle with cancer. Her husband is Dr. Milo Thompson. Born Dec. 5, 1935, in South Otselic, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Glen and Bertha Brown. She was raised in South Otselic and graduated from South Otselic High School, and in addition pursued education on the collegiate level. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great -grandmother and sister. She served faithfully alongside her husband, who pastored churches in New York and Pennsylvania and who was president of Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit, for 15 years. Her true joys involved spending time with and caring for her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, along with traveling with her husband in ministry across the country and elsewhere around the world. Also surviving are seven children, Susan Hubble and husband, David; Deborah Merkel and husband, Richard; Daniel Thompson and wife, Debra; Carol Ferrari and husband, Richard; Stephen Thompson and wife, Julie; David Thompson, Timothy Thompson and wife, Rhiannon; a sister, Arlene Mozo; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three grandchildren. A memorial service was to be held Saturday, April 3, at 11 a.m. by Rev. Mark Stuenzi, in the Heritage Baptist Church, 415 Venard Rd., Clarks Summit.
