TUNKHANNOCK — Bruce R. Rathbun passed away July 21, 2014, in Tunkhannock. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna M. Moore Rathbun. Funeral services were July 26 from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.

CLARKS SUMMIT — Doris Mary Raub, 87, formerly of Clarks Summit, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at The Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania. Born Aug. 28, 1926, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late William and Stella (Sauer) Raub. The funeral with Mass of Christian Burial was held July 26 in Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Arrangements by Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.

PIERSON

BRADENTON, Fla. — Robert Patrick Pierson Jr., passed away July 16, 2014, at Hospice House in Bradenton. Born Aug. 9, 1957, in Newark, New Jersey, he lived in Harveys Lake for over 20 years and leaves behind family in the Tunkhannock area. A memorial service will be held at later date.

KENIA

GERMAN HILL — Daniel P. Kenia Sr., 70, of German Hill, died July 24, 2014, at his home. He was born June 3, 1944, in Meshoppen, a son of the late Anthony and Dorothy Martin Kenia. He had family in Tunkhannock. Mass of Christian Burial was held July 28 from the St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, Dalton Road, Lake Winola. A viewing was held July 28 at Stonehedge Country Club, 287 German Hill Road, Factoryville.

PRISLUPSKY

CLARKS SUMMIT — John J. Prislupsky, Clarks Summit, entered into Heaven surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 26, 2014. He loved serving as an usher at St Ann’s Basilica, so it was fitting that the angels took him home on the feast day of St. Ann. The funeral was held July 30 from the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann St., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial in St Ann’s Basilica.

SHIFFER

TUNKHANNOCK — William J. Shiffer, 91, of Tunkhannock, died July 27, 2014, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Born Sept. 6, 1922, he was a son of the late William J. and Virginia Cook Shiffer Sr. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
