Are you ready for March? We are at the Dalton Community Library. We have our Spring lineup of programs ready to go. First up is our children’s Storytime. After a great month of the Smart Starters program, we return to our regular children’s Storytime to enjoy some favorite activities- hearing stories, sharing stories, learning colors, numbers and letters and many age-appropriate lessons. Of course, we also will be doing crafts, a few exercises and some dancing to get the wiggles out. Any child that’s not yet in elementary school can come share this special time and take part in the enjoyable lessons.

The children of our after-school program, Kid’s Crew, have been diligently working on skits for a show. We have some very talented children in this group. Any elementary aged child who’d like to see what this group is about is invited to stop in after school on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. You can look forward to meeting some friendly kids and seeing many warm smiles.

Our adult Bridge games and Mahjong group have been going strong all winter and continue to do so. Mondays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. the Mahjong group plays and is always inviting new or beginner players. The Bridge group meets at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and accepts new participants, as well. We also have adult book clubs and discussion groups throughout the week at Dalton Community Library. For an up to date schedule, please call 570-563-2014 or email JFamiletti@albright.org to ask any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.

Finally, it’s not too early to mention our Spring Book & Bake Sale which is next month. It will be held at the Dalton Community Library on Saturday, April 12, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. We will have so many books for sale. Our shelves are overflowing with a huge variety of books. There’s history and mystery books, health and wealth books- accounting, that is. So many books being prepared for the Spring Book & Bake Sale next month. Remember the date- April 12. And, don’t forget we will have scrumptious homemade baked goods, too/

Happy March everyone. Enjoy!
