Scott Binsack, former president of Mansions and Estates International LLC, recently pleaded no contest in Lackawanna County Court to seven counts of writing bad checks, according to a plea agreement filed in the Court of Common Pleas of Lackawanna County. Binsack, 40, who has served time in Lackawanna County Prison on related charges, appeared before Judge Vito Geroulo Wednesday, June 23. While sentenced to time already served, Binsack was ordered by Judge Geroulo to pay a total of $21,119.69 to his victims, and was also sentenced to 45 days of home confinement with electronic monitoring. Binsack was first arrested in July of 2007 on charges of bad checks written from the bank accounts of his Clarks Summit-based business.
