Julie Hubbard is moving from one National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I tournament qualifying program to another.
A former all-state soccer player at Abington Heights High School in Clarks Summit, Hubbard transferred from Penn State to the University of Connecticut, where she will continue her soccer career on an athletic scholarship.
Hubbard started the first three games of the season at Penn State and wound up appearing in a total of 11 games for the Big Ten champions. She came off the bench to score a goal and an assist in a game at Iowa for her first collegiate points.
Hubbard had also appeared in six games as a freshman.
Connecticut finished 10-10-3 with a 1-0 loss to Hofstra in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
