The Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center received a donation of 113 pillows Sept. 27 from Emily, Victoria and Nancy Jeschke as part of a Girl Scout Silver Award project. Emily, 13 and Victoria, 15, are members of Troop 50557 in Clarks Summit, and mother Nancy is troop leader. The girls chose to make and donate pillows to the Henry Cancer Center to make patients more comfortable while receiving chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. Both girls previously earned Breast Cancer badges, which inspired them to do more for patients. They also received the Girl Scout Silver Award for making the donation to the Henry Cancer Center.Shown, from left, members of the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Breast Care Program accept pillows from the Girl Scouts: Vickie Keeler, R.N., Geisinger nurse navigator; Emily Jeschke; Nancy Jeschke; Victoria Jeschke and Laura Borgos, M.D., Geisinger breast surgeon.
