Marjorie B. Phillips, 82, Clarks Summit, died Friday at the VNA Hospice Unit of the Community Medical Center. She was the widow of Herbert J. Phillips, who died in 1994. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Helen Thompson Foster. She was a resident of Clarks Summit for over 50 years. Before retiring, she had worked for the Abington Heights School District and the former McDonalds Pharmacy in Clarks Summit. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post 7069, Clarks Summit where she served as treasurer for 20 years. Surviving are two daughters, Susan E. Phillips, Factoryville and Irene Warner and her husband, James, Nicholson; a brother Donald Foster, Clarks Summit; two grandsons Sean and Travis Wright; a great- granddaughter, Emma Wright; nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held on Monday, Dec. 17 from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Fairlawn Cemetery, Dalton. Memorials may be made to the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W.
