Stephen Eberle, 66, Clarks Summit, died Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Abington Manor Nursing Home. His wife is the former Dolores Barkey; the couple was married 45 years last August.
Born in Warsaw, NY, he was the son of the late Michael and Virginia Bathrick Eberle. He was an Ordained Minister as well as working for Pyne Trucking, Taylor in the Clerical Department. He has lived in the Abington area for the past 28 years and is a member of Summit Baptist Church.
He is a 1982 Graduate of Baptist Bible College and for 21 years he has conducted services for the residents of the former Carpenter Care Nursing Facility in Tunkhannock.
Also surviving are three sons, Stephen Mark, Factoryville, Timothy Paul, Royersford, PA and Daniel James, Cazenovia, NY; a daughter, Deborah Hernandze, Fayetteville, GA; a brother Paul, Flemington, NJ; two sisters, Lucille Rondeau, Ft. Wayne, IN and Nancy Werner, Warsaw, NY; nine grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. from Summit Baptist Church, 232 Noble Rd., Clarks Summit with services by Rev. Mark Schimitz, pastor. Interment will be in Clarks Green Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from noon until the time of the service at the church.
