Waverly Township announced it will be switching pollution insurance providers during its March 10 meeting.

Waverly’s pollution policy with Endurance Specialty Insurance expires this year. Their three-year policy with Endurance cost $12,875, however Endurance will no longer be covering pollution.

“Very few insurance companies do this pollution insurance” township manager Bill White said.

A motion was made by Supervisor Ron Whitaker to switch to C.C. Young & Henkelman as their pollution insurance provider.

The Waverly Community House will be installing a new roof in the coming months. Whitaker discussed plans with with Maria Wilson, Executive Director of the Waverly Community House.

Over the years, the roof has mostly been caulked by various maintenance staff but never fully repaired. A motion was made by Whitaker to let the Comm. access $10,000 from the township’s capital fund for a new roof. There’s no word when construction will begin.

The ordinance books were completed by White. Each municipality is required to keep a record of every ordinance passed, the first ordinance dating back to 1945.
