Kenneth C. Winters Jr., 52, Tunkhannock, died Wednesday, July 3, at Tyler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Kenneth Sr. and Ida Mae Decker Winters. He had lived in Tunkhannock since 1996 and prior to that lived in Brinktown for most of his life. He was employed as a machine operator for Perkins Casscad Paper Co. in Pittston for 34 years. He was a man of Methodist faith.
Surviving are seven sons: Kenneth C. Winters III, Reading; Michael R. Winters and his wife Tracy, Falls; William Boyce Jr., and his wife Nichole, Hawaii; Todd A. Boyce, Sean P. Winters, Zachary S. Winters and Mitchell L. Winters, all of Tunkhannock; two sisters, Dora Smith and husband, Craig, Northumberland and Irene Feringa and husband Ron, Hallstead; and four grandchildren, Nikki, Austin, Annie, and Noah Winters; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held on Saturday, July 7 at 11a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by Rev. John F. Shaffer, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Lemon. Interment will be in Shady Lane Cemetery, South Abington Township.
