Abington Heights High School junior Thomas Renjilian earned a Gold Key Award for writing in the Humor Category from the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, Inc., in The Scholastic Art and Writing Competition. His work will now be forwarded to the national level of adjudication in The Scholastic Writing Awards of 2007.
Each year, approximately 20,000 manuscripts from across America and American schools abroad are submitted by teenagers in grades seven to 12.
For works recognized as the most accomplished in the regional program, students earn a Gold Key.
