The Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority is hosting an awards ceremony for the Educational Mini-Grants Program 2007-2008 on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 4 p.m. at the Pennsylvania Anthracite Heritage Museum. The Museum is located in McDade Park on Bald Mountain Road in Scranton.
LHVA received 20 outstanding proposals for the program, and will make grant awards of $500 each to the top ten projects. This was a very competitive grant cycle, with creative and dynamic projects. The ten grant awards will benefit children from preschool through grade 12. Proposals came from schools and organizations throughout the Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit #19.
The media and LHVA partners are invited to attend. The event is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.
