Chase Janus, 9, of Clarks Summit, was recently honored at a statewide awards ceremony for gifted children held by The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY).
Janus was invited to the awards ceremony sponsored by CTY based on an exceptional performance on a test given to second through eighth grade Talent Search participants. Seventh and eighth graders took the SAT or ACT. Janus, is home-schooled, joined other award recipients at the recent state ceremony, and was individually honored by Johns Hopkins for his academic performance and promise. He is the son of Walt and Bonnie Janus, of Clarks Summit. He has a younger brother, Spencer. For more on CTY, visit .
