Thomas W. Lewis, 88, of Lake Winola, and Bradenton, FL died Tuesday, Nov. 13 in Altamonte Springs, FL. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Born in Taylor, he was the son of Beatrice and Thomas W. Lewis Sr. He moved to Syracuse, NY when he became a sales representative for Tremco Mfg. Co. He retired from Tremco in 1980 and moved to Bradenton, FL. He maintained a summer home at Lake Winola. Tom graduated from Taylor High School in 1936. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during World War II serving from 1941 through 1946. Memberships included American Legion Post 24, Bradenton, FL, the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple, Scranton, Arcacia Lodge, Taylor, Abington Rotary Club, Clarks Summit, Scranton Canoe Club, Lake Winola. Tom was an inductee and life member of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. He was an avid sportsman, as well as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great -grandfather. Also surviving are a son Thomas Lewis III and wife Barbara, Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.; daughter Donna Lee Lewis, Longwood, FL; grandsons Thomas W. Lewis IV, Sleepy Hollow, NY, Todd Kilponen and wife Linda, Kinnelon, NJ, Jason Kilponen, Sanford, FL, granddaughter Meredith Lewis, Sleepy Hollow, NY; great -grandson Will Kilponen and great -granddaughter Anna Lynn Kilponen, Kinnelon, NJ. Preceding his death were sisters Mary and Sarah Lewis and brother William Lewis. Funeral services will be at the convenience of family and arranged by the Lawrence Young Funeral Home, Clarks Summit. There will be no visiting hours. Prayers will be conducted by Rev. Judy Wanck, United Methodist Church, Clarks Summit. Internment at Abington Hills Cemetery, Clarks Summit.
