Covenant Presbyterian Church, 550 Madison Ave., Scranton, welcomes a new director of music and organist. Alain Truche, a native of France, will begin playing the organ and directing the choirs of Covenant in this month. Truche has given numerous recitals in the United States as well as in France. Currently, he is pursuing a doctor of musical arts degree from the University of Nebraska. Truche is studying under Dr. George Ritchie, who is known for his recordings of the complete organ works of J.S. Bach and his early music performance. He assumed the new role on the church staff, upon the recent retirement of Sheryl Marionni, who served as music director and organist for more than 35 years. For more information, visit .
