DALTON — An old photograph of the former trolley station, found mixed in with borough paperwork, ignited a spark of curiosity regarding the municipality’s history.

Council President Dr. Gus Vlassis, who lived in the borough since 1960, said he doesn’t know much about the image, but would like to know more, especially the name of the man posing in front of the building and the date on which it taken. Anyone with information he or she believes can help solve the mystery of the photograph is asked to contact The Abington Journal at 570-587-1148 or news@s24528.p831.sites.pressdns.com.

The structure still stands today, although obvious architectural and cosmetic changes were made since the time of the photograph. Located at 107 W. Main St., it now houses Lucky Paws Pet Grooming, which opened Sept. 2, 2014 and is owned by Kim Walters, of Fleetville, and Stephanie Hughes, of Dalton.
