A half dozen Abington-area runners completed Monday’s 119th annual Boston Marathon in less than four hours.
Robert Damiano, a 37-year-old from Dalton, led the way, completing the 26.2-mile run in 3:04:15 to place 3,440th out of 26,610 finishers. A total of 27,165 runners began the race.
Kristin Patchell, 34, from Clarks Summit, was the first area woman to finish. She was 5,476th overall in 3:13:43. She was 601st among the 12,022 women who finished the course.
Frank Grogan, 47, from Clarks Summit, was 7,035th in 3:20:09. Michael Green Sr., 53, from Dalton, was 7,440th in 3:21:40.
Megan Gibbons, 24, from Clarks Summit was 10,365th in 3:30:41.
Kathleen Snyder, 28, from Dalton, was 14,471st in 3:44:21.
A total of 923 Pennsylvania runners completed the race, ranking the state fifth behind Massachusetts, California, New York and Texas.
