LA PLUME — Keystone College Service Club members visited Helping Hands Learning Center in Clarks Summit for a Martin Luther King Day program Jan. 20.
The students read two stories to the children, one about Martin Luther King and the other about Henry Box Brown. They then made posters of Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks, before serving snacks and drinks. The group also sang “If I Had a Hammer” together and the children were able to climb into a painted cardboard Rosa Parks bus, which was brought along by the club.
