Baptist Bible College’s Department of Music will hold its annual Winter Concert, at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12 and 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 in the Murphy Memorial Library.

Tickets are $5 each and are available online at www.bbc.edu/events or by calling the BBC Box Office at 570-585-9000.

The concerts feature student musical groups, including the Concert Chorale and Chamber Singers, as well as special solos and vocal and instrumental ensembles.

Musical selections include “Do You Hear What I Hear,” arranged by Harry Simone; “Danse des Mirlitons, from the Nutcraker Suite, Op. 71,” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Arranged by G.E. Holmes; “The Shepherd’s Carol,” by Bob Chilcoat; “Gesú Bambino” by Pietro A. Yon; “O Magnum Mysterium,” by Morten Lauridsen and more.

The evening’s warm holiday atmosphere is set off by a time of audience carol singing, festive decorations, and ambient lighting. The Murphy Memorial Library adds to the musical experience by offering unique architecture and acoustics.
