The family of Lois Gallagher, long-time Abington Community Library volunteer who passed away this summer, recognized Lois’s devotion and love of the library by presenting it with a plaque in her memory. Nearly 40 family members, friends, trustees, and staff gathered in the Ryon Community room for the presentation, honoring Gallagher’s nearly 45 continuous years of volunteerism at the library. She was also recognized for her influence as a wife, mother, and active member of Clarks Summit United Methodist Church and the Audubon Society. Shown are her brother-in-law Jack Gallagher, of Scranton; husband Gene Gallagher, of Clarks Summit and daughter Beth Gallagher, of Scranton.
