Fall has begun and it’s that exciting time of year at the Dalton Community Library.

The third Saturday of October is always our Fall Book and Bake Sale. Oct. 18 is the date and our sale begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.

So many people in our community have made donations for this sale. Because of these generous patrons, we can offer all types of books, DVDs, magazines and more. The prices are reasonable with most hardcovers selling for $1 and most paperbacks selling for 50¢. Children’s books are even less. Our shelves are full, and the variety is wide, so be sure to come in.

Don’t forget, baked goods will also be offered — cookies, breads, muffins and more. These homemade items are too good to pass. Mark your calendar for Oct. 18 and be sure to get in on this Book and Bake Sale at the Dalton Community Library, which supports all our library’s programs and helps in purchasing books and supplies for our patrons.

The fall lineup of children and adult programs are underway and going strong. It’s been wonderful to see all the new faces, especially at the 11 a.m. Story Time for children on Tuesdays, the 10 a.m. Mahjong games on Mondays and Thursdays and the 4 p.m. Kid’s Crew on Tuesdays for elementary students.
