Langley Winds to return to Lackawanna College Nov. 12

Lackawanna College and the U.S. Armed Forces Committee of NEPA will present an evening with the Langley Winds at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 in the Theater at Lackawanna College, 501 Vine St., Scranton.

Since 1995, Langley Winds has been a chamber music component of the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band. It features the diverse talents of professional Airman-musicians whose commitment to excellence earned worldwide acclaim and military distinction.

Langley Winds presents polished and passionate performances of the woodwind ensemble literature as well as transcriptions and patriotic favorites, presented in an intimate setting.

A woodwind quintet of Langley Winds musicians performed at the College in March, and the entire 16-member ensemble is expected to present a collection of music for all ages to enjoy once again this fall.

Admission is free. Tickets, limited to four per person, are available at the front desk inside Lackawanna College’s main building, 501 Vine St., Scranton from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
