A 23-year-old Tunkhannock woman, Courtney Gruver, was taken into custody for burglary, theft, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and identity theft.

Linda Davispon’s Newton Twp. home was burglarized on April 23.

Jewelry, a flat-screen TV, a miniature grandfather clock and Davispon’s checkbook were stolen from her home. Gruver is accused of later using the Davispon’s checks to purchase merchandise at the Dickson City Wal-Mart and a Clarks Summit Rite-Aid Pharmacy.

Surveillance footage from each store was collected and the accused was later identified by Pennsylvania State Police Troopers. Gruver was interviewed and later confessed to her involvement in the burglary, as well as, using the victim’s checks at Wal-Mart and Rite-Aid store. Gruver was arraigned and bail was set $25,000.
