Children and their families are invited to attend a live performance of “The Mouse’s Marriage” at the Dietrich Theater Saturday, July 26 at 11 a.m.

Based on a Japanese folk tale, the play depicts the tale of two mice in love. The young couple wants to get married, but the girl’s father wants his daughter to have the best husband in the world. Will he choose the Sun? Or maybe the Cloud? Or the Wind?

Directed by Jennifer Jenkins, the production is suitable for children and their families, and audience members can expect to interact with the characters onstage. Written by Rich Ryczak, “The Mouse’s Marriage” was first performed by the Dietrich Children’s Theatre in 2012. Back for another round, this production will feature two new cast members, David Swanson and Brenda Wenner, accompanied by Laurel Radzieski and actor turned playwright, Rich Ryczak, who will both be reprising their previous roles.

Tickets for The Mouse’s Marriage are free and will be available at the door while they last, or can be reserved by calling 570-996-1500.
