Serving Seniors, Inc. is seeking individuals and groups of all ages to help bring holiday cheer to those who may otherwise be forgotten.

Operation Friendship is a holiday project coordinated through the Visitation Program of Serving Seniors, Inc. Its main purpose is to bring greetings to residents of nursing, assisted living and personal care homes in Lackawanna County, who may not receive a Christmas card this holiday season.

The organization is looking for volunteers to write and send or hand deliver personalized Christmas cards to various locations. Serving Seniors currently has a list of over 3,000 residents throughout the county who would benefit from a holiday greeting.

Students of all ages, Scout troops, church and civic groups as well as individuals who would like to share this simple yet meaningful gift are invited to participate. More information may be obtained by calling Lisa Torch at 570-344-3931.
