This summer The Scranton Jazz Festival will celebrate its five-year anniversary at the historic Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel, downtown Scranton.
Since its premiere in 2005, the festival has drawn audiences from the entire Mid-Atlantic region, resulting in exposure to the international jazz world.
The event takes place August 7 to August 9.

5 p.m. Ellington Legacy; 6 p.m. Organic Vibe Trio with Dave Samuels (multi-Grammy award winning vibraphonist); 7 p.m. Nilson Matta and Brazilian Voyage; 8 p.m. The Funk Filharmonik; 10 p.m to 1:30 a.m. The Jazz Walk

12:30 p.m. The Jazz Mass with Rev Bill Carter and Presbybop; 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Break; 4 p.m. The Keystone Jazz Institute Student Jazz Combos; 5 p.m. The Phil Markowitz Trio with Jay Anderson and Adam Nussbaum; 6 p.m. The Chris Tarry Band; 7 p.m. The Absolute Trio with the legendary jazz vocalist Bob Dorough; 8 p.m. The Festival Big Band; 9:30 p.m. The Jazz Jam at Trax Bar in the Radisson Hotel.
