Libraries in Lackawanna County, in conjunction with the Northeast Library District, announce a new and improved program for downloading free and easy-to-use audio books.
Beginning on May 31, library patrons will be able to access and download hundreds of audio book titles for free using NetLibrary Media Center, a new and improved downloading system from Recorded Books. Accessible to any patron with a Lackawanna County Library System card, NetLibrary Media Center will provide patrons with an easy-to-use software option that is already operating at more than 120 libraries nationwide. NetLibrary Media Center will be available for download and use by all patrons with a valid library card at a Northeast Library District Library.
There are currently more than 5,000 individual titles available via the new system, with more than 750 titles compatible for downloading to an iPod or other electronic device.
The software for NetLibrary Media Center will be available for download on May 31, and can be accessed via the Northeast Library District web site at . Installation and downloading instructions are available on the web site.
