Individuals who submit applications for state-awarded property tax or rent rebates now have a new online resource to check the status of their rebates, according to state Sen. Bob Mellow.
A link at , enables applicants to check their rebate status in as little as six weeks after submitting their application.
Mellow said people can check the status of their rebate by entering their social security number, anticipated rebate amount and date of birth. Constituents can then obtain claim status confirmation, the actual amount of the rebate the date the rebate is expected to be mailed or direct deposited. Applicants can also use an automated phone service to check their rebate status by calling1.888.PATAXES.
Distribution of rebate checks will begin in July.
