August is the month when things start to slow down, and we all get ready for school. Troop 160 will have its first meeting in early September. Then the fun begins again. We are all looking forward to the beginning of another year of camping and just enjoying the great adventures of scouting. We are all very lucky to have the leaders and devoted adults to help us progress through our scouting years. This past month, Troop 160 helped park cars at the Our Lady of Snows bazaar. We also had two Scouts do their Eagle projects. For one Eagle project, we built picnic tables at the Abington Heights Middle School. For the other Eagle project, we built a canoe rack and trashcan holders at the Abington Community Park next to the state hospital. Doing community service projects is a big part of scouting. Remember: a Scout is helpful.
