Margaret Elizabeth Fife Williams, 73, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday, May 17, 2009, in Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia. She was the former wife of Robert E. Williams, who died Feb. 4, 2004.
Born June 1, 1935, in Carbondale, daughter of the late James Fife and the late Rose Mary Tallett Fife Banta, she had been a Clarks Summit resident since 1984, after moving from Scranton. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was educated in the Scranton School District and was a 1954 graduate of Central High School. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church. A loving, kind person who brought a smile to all who knew and loved her, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She cherished her family always and was a good friend to many.
Surviving are four daughters, Deborah Gay and husband, James, Joplin, MO; Kathleen Eggert and husband, Brian, Margaret Johndrow and husband, David, and Diane Ciullo and partner, Lisa Azizian, and a son, Robert E. Jr. and wife Maureen, all of Scranton; two sisters, Irene Leach, Scranton; and Rosemary Osborne and husband, Richard, Wanaque, NJ; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held with a memorial Mass at in Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
